Ultrasound #4, and It's A.........

I had yet another ultrasound today, and was amazed at how much the baby has grown. It was so cute wiggling all around in there. I am only 13 weeks, so we didn't expect to find out what we are having until we came across this shot....
ANY GUESSES??

24th of July

I forgot how fun it is to live in a small town, especially during the 4th and 24th of July. On Wednesday night, our little town of Redmond had a big dinner at the park across the street from our house. Of course we went, because everybody goes, and it was like we were the new kids at school. Everybody was staring at us, and a lot of people came and introduced themselves, but everyone was really friendly. Luckily we have friends that live here, so we didn't feel to out of place, it ended up being really fun, and you can't beat the local live band ;-)

After the dinner, we headed up on the mountain with some of our friends from Gunnison. It was freezing, and of course, I was in flip flops so that didn't help things. Kennedi had so much fun playing with all of her "new best friends" and roasting marsh mellows.

Then on Thursday morning, we headed to Mayfield for the parade. Shane's parents did a float and all of the grand kids road on it with them and threw candy, they had so much fun!!

(Sorry, I hate my voice!)

Kyler, Jaymen, Kalie, Kennedi, and Kaden

This is what my poor car looked like after all of that, I think it's the dirtiest it's ever been.

Park City Getaway!

On Tuesday, our family went to Park City for 3 nights.. Shane had some meetings there for his new job. We stayed at the Hotel Park City, and wow was it NICE!!! Luckily we didn't have to pay for it. We stayed in an executive cottage suite that had a hot tub on our deck, and boy did Kennedi think she was cool in that thing!!

This was the view from our deck. I had never been to Park City before, and it is just beautiful!!

While Shane had meetings, Kennedi and I just hung out at the pool everyday. We had so much fun, and it was so relaxing. So far, I'm loving this new job!!!

Home Sweet Redmond

We are FINALLY here!!! The last month has been totally crazy. We picked Shane up at the airport in Phoenix on the 3rd at 7:00 pm, and started the 9 hour trek to Redmond. We finally got here at 4:30 am on the 4th. I will NOT miss that drive.

We then got up early on the 4th and headed to the Gunnison park so Kennedi (really Shane) could do all the fun stuff there.

So now we are just getting settled in our house. I hate waiting for everything to get hooked up. We got our Internet going tonight, and hopefully our TV will be going be Wed.

So far I've really enjoyed it here. It is so peaceful and the weather is so nice. We have the perfect little yard for Kennedi to play outside ALL DAY and she doesn't die of heat. I think we will really love it here.

American Idols Live

Last night, we had the sweetest girls night out!!!! My mom, my aunt Karleen, Marci, Lindsey, Tori, and I all went to the American Idols Live concert. It was sooo much fun!!!

First, I have to say, that I definatly think Michael Johns should have been in the top three. He was so good last night, and the crowd loved him. He sang "Dream On" by Aerosmith, and I was so excited, I loved it when he sang that song on the show, even though that was the week he got booted.

Each Idol came out and sang three songs in the order they were kicked off. Carly, Brook, and Dreads all did really good. David Archuleta sang 4 songs. I have always thought that he is a great singer, but I've never been way impressed by him, maybe it's because he ALWAYS sings ballads and thats not what I'm into, but he was very good last night!! I was very impressed with him. And of course, the crowd went crazy for him.
Then finally, my man came out. Have I mentioned that I LOVE David Cook??? He was absolutely amazing! I couldn't even beleive it. He sang 5 songs, including "Billy Jean". He rocked! You would have never known that this was his first show. He so good!!!!! Can't wait until he makes his first album.

Graduation!

Yesterday I drove to Tuscon for another ultrasound. Everything went great, my doctor was very happy with the way everything is progressing. We saw the baby moving all around, with 2 legs and 2 arms. It was so exciting!! So yesterday I graduated from my infertility clinic, WooHoo. It is so strange, I have been driving to Tuscon, an hour and a half each way, consistently since my first appointment with them on November 12th. They were so excited for me, all telling me to send pictures after the baby is born.

HAPPY 30TH BIRTHDAY SHANE!!!

Today is Shane's 30th birthday. I can't believe that he is 30!! I feel bad because he is still in Florida training for his job, but they took him out for a nice dinner, so I don't think he feels too bad about it.

Happy Birthday Shane!!

What we've been up to....

Shane is in Tampa FL training for his new job until July 3rd. So on Sunday, Kennedi and I came to Moab to stay with my parents for a week. Kennedi absolutely LOVES being at grandma and grandpa's house, probably because she gets away with EVERYTHING here. She also loves to play with all the neighbor kids. My mom has had to work all week, while my dad is on vacation, so I've been helping my dad with all of his projects he has going on. The last couple of days, we were putting the rock on the front of their house. Today, we have been taping off his 69 Camaro that he has totally rebuilt, and is getting ready to paint tomorrow. It has been fun, I love to do projects like that.

Kennedi said the funniest things today. She was outside with my dad before I came out and when she came inside to get me, and I asked her how the car was looking. she said "it looks so ugly, but don't tell grandpa because you'll hurt his feelings". It was so funny, so then after we got it all taped off, I asked her again how it looked, she said " it looks embarrassing, it is hideous". So those are her feelings about grandpa's pride and joy.

Oh and I can't forget to mention that we spend EVERY night at the ball park. That is just what you do in the summer in Moab, it has been this way my whole life, and for kids, it is so fun! It was always the highlight of my summers. My niece and nephew both play, so we have been there every night to watch them. Kennedi loves going and heeleying everywhere. She likes to go to the snack shack and get cotton candy and snow cones.

So far, it has been a nice little break from everything that we have been going through the last little while.

Dance Recital

Last night was Kennedi's first dance recital. It was so fun! She was SO excited to dance on the big stage in front of all the people. No stage fright whatsoever with this girl, she loves the attention.
My little poser!! These were her three different costumes.

THIS IS JUST THE REHEARSAL, NOT THE REAL PERFORMANCE.

Here is Kennedi with her best friends from dance, Libertie and Linzie. They are twins, and soo cute. She is going to miss them!

Here she is after the recital, I gave her some little flowers, so she thought she won the competition.

The Miracle We Have Been Waiting For!!

Ok....so I can finally say that I am pregnant!!! It has been a VERY LONG road to get to this point, and a very expensive one I might add, but it was all worth it. I am a little over 7 weeks along. I had my second ultrasound today and we got to see the heart beat. What an incredible feeling that was to get to see something that we've prayed for for so long.

Kennedi couldn't be happier!! She kept saying we were going to have two babies, but today confirmed only one baby....YAH!!

So Cool!!

I forgot to post this picture earlier, but we let Kennedi ride in the moving truck from Richfield to Redmond. She thought she was pretty cool. My dad was driving it, and he called me and told me to drive up next to him because she wanted to wave at me and my mom.

We Made It!

We made it to Redmond yesterday around 4:00. I hadn't seen the house yet, and it is very different from what we are used to, but it will work great for us for a while. We had a lot of help moving in, some of the local boys showed up on their 4-wheelers to help us, and we had everything unloaded really fast. We got to see a lot of friends that we haven't seen for a long time, so that was nice. Today, we worked all day on getting everything put away and set up and we just about got it all done. I will go tomorrow to finish some things up and then we'll head back to Chandler. Shane flies to Florida on Sunday to start his 3-week training for his new job, and I get the pleasure of speaking in church, so I guess I need to start preparing for that.

Loaded and ready

Well, it's been a long day....but we have everything loaded and we are ready to go. We will leave for Utah first thing in the morning. It is a 10 hour drive (shoot me now), so hopefully we'll make there early enough to get everything unloaded before it gets dark tomorrow.

Moving

So....our house got rented out sooner then we thought it would. We are moving all of our stuff to Redmond on Tuesday. It has been so crazy. We didn't plan on moving until July 6Th or 7Th, but things change I guess. I will have to come back down here for Kennedi's dance recital, some Dr. appointments, and the American Idol concert (woohoo), so we won't officially live there until like July 3rd. So we are getting all of our stuff packed up this weekend. Have I said how much I hate moving???

TAG....

I have been tagged by Lindsey

Tag rules:
1. you link back to the person who tagged you.
2. post these rules on your blog.
3. share six unimportant things about yourself.
4. tag six random people at the end of your entry.
5. let the tagged people know by leaving a comment on their blogs.
6. enjoy the results

6 unimportant things about myself:

1. I rarely eat breakfast. I know that it's the most important meal of the day, but nothing ever sound good to eat (especially lately).

2. I love smut TV!! I have certain shows that I watch, and I love them. There is nothing better to me then putting Kennedi to bed, and enjoying a few hours of good TV.

3. I ALWAYS paint my toe nails in a french manicure. I have done this for years, and I just can't stand it when they are not painted this specific way.

4. I totally LOVE to play volleyball. I could play every night and not get sick of it. Time flies when I play. I miss it! I haven't played for REAL since I've moved to Arizona, and I really miss the girls from St George that I used to play with.

5. Our family has moved 8 times, and we are in the middle of moving for the 9th time, UGH!! What a nightmare!! I hate boxing things up, but the nice thing is going through stuff and getting rid of things you don't really need.

6. Right now, I'm a little obsessed with blogging. I like to check mine throughout the day to see if anyone has left me a comment, and I love looking at my friends blogs to see what they are up to.

Ok, now I tag Tara, Melissa, Kendra, Trina, Kristy, & Rachael

Just Stuff.....

On Saturday, my friend Lindsey and I took our kids to a park with a splash pad. I think the kids had fun, but it was sooo crowded. I guess we learned never to go to the big parks on Saturdays.

Today for church, I did Kennedi's hair up. She totally loved it! She wouldn't stop looking at herself in the mirror, and then had me take pictures of her. After church, she told me that everyone loved her hair today, it was pretty funny.

Here is a video of Kennedi on her Heelys. Her friend Blake got a pair, and she loved them, so we got her a pair the other day. We didn't think she would be able to pick up on how to use them, but she did. It is so funny to watch her.......

Diamond Backs Game

My good friend Monica, her husband Nick, and their daughter Addison were in town last night. Nick works in Tucson as a baseball trainer, so he got us some FREE tickets to the Diamond Backs game. Our seats were awesome! They were a little ways up from the visitor's dugout. It was a really fun night, it is always fun to catch up with friends you don't get to see very often.

Memorial Day

I think this is the first time since we've been married, that we didn't travel for Memorial Day weekend. It was actually nice to stay home. On Saturday, we got a lot of packing done, mostly just stuff that we don't use on a daily basis. We still have more then a month until we move, but we're just going to do a little at a time until then.

This morning, we played softball with a few families in our ward at an elementary school by our house. Kennedi even got in and played. She was so cute up to bat, and hit the ball every time (she's not left handed, we just taught her to hit left handed). The funniest thing was watching her run around the bases. Once she got to second base, she just continued on out to left field, it was a total crack up. Everyone was laughing, telling her the right way to go.

Later this afternoon, we all headed over to our friends, the Montgomery's, for a BBQ. They have a pool, so all of the kids got to swim.

Here is Kennedi, acting like the princess she is.....telling on the other kids when they splashed her. She loves hanging out with Kirsten, and seems to think she is 16-years-old too.

It has been such a great experience to live in AZ, and we have made great friends since we've been here that we will truly miss when we leave.

It's Raining, It's Pooring!

The weather has been so crazy here lately. Two days ago, it was 108 degrees outside and today it is hailing chunks of ice the size of marbles. Kennedi loves to play in the rain, so she was running around in it for a minute, until it started hailing like this....

Wow, I think that is just amazing! I've never seen it do this in the 10 months we've lived here. It makes me so excited to move back to Utah to actually have seasons again.

YAY DAVID COOK!

Woo Hoo!! I was so excited that David Cook won last night, because in all honesty, I thought Archuleta had it. I'm glad that Simon apologized to him at the end for judging him so harshly the night before. I thought the opening song they sang together by Chad Kroeger was amazing!!

American Idol

I am so excited for American Idol tonight. I haven't watched American Idol since the 2nd season, but this season I'm hooked. I love DAVID COOK!! I have ever since the first couple weeks. I think he totally deserves to win tomorrow. So, I'll admit it, I will be voting for him tonight!

Time for a haircut.

I gave Kennedi a haircut today, and let me tell you, it was way past due. I always trim it up every couple months....but this time I waited a little too long. I put her in the shower this morning (she likes showers, not tubs) and when the water ran down her back, her hair was so long that it was in her little bum crack. It totally made me laugh. So I told her we needed to cut it a little bit today. She got all excited and told me that she wanted it cut like my friend Lindsey's, who by the way, has a way cute hair cut like Posh Spice. I, of course, put the kibosh on that idea, and cut about 2 inches off. It looks much better.

What an exciting Saturday.....

Ok, we are so lame, we have spent about 90% of today playing our Wii. A friend told us how to download all the old Nintendo games on to it, and today we can't seem to quit playing them (now we have other friends addicted as well). There are plenty of other things we could be doing, like packing up our house, but oh well. Plus, it is too hot outside to really do anything, it is 97 degrees today and is supposed to be up to 105 degrees by Tuesday. Not looking forward to the heat at all, and we are going to be moving in the dead of the summer. That should be loads of fun!

Pre-School Graduation!!

Today was Kennedi's last day of her first year of pre-school. They did a little program for all the parents, it was so cute. They just sang a bunch of songs that they had learned throughout the session. We have really liked this pre-school, and it was a little sad to me that her first year is over. She is growing up too fast!! I was reading the talk that Elder Ballard gave in General Conference and he said that the early years in our child's life represents less then one tenth of a parent's normal life. That really hit me, we have such a short time to enjoy our little precious ones. I just want to freeze her the way she is and enjoy her and everything she does!!
