Reminiscing

My little brother Matthew is getting married to Heather in 2 weeks and I'm making a wedding video for them.

As I was going through their pictures, I came across this one of the 2 of us. It totally reminds me of my kids....what do you think??? CRAZY HUH!!

Born To Perform

This weekend was the big dance recital. It was Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night (over 3 hrs each night). The theme this year was Broadway's Best. They did a total of 13 different Broadway shows. Kennedi was in 6 - Annie, Hello Dolly, Oklahoma, Hairspray, South Pacific, and Singin' In The Rain and I was in Mamma Mia. The show was long but turned out so good!!

Kennedi performed great as usual. I got so many complements on her. I LOVE watching her dance, I just sit and smile the whole time. She doesn't just dance.....she gets totally into it and she performs!! I love it, it's hilarious!

Singin' In The Rain

I have always loved to clog and was so excited when we moved here and they had an adult clogging class. It was so fun.....my sister-in-law Jessica did it with me and lots of other friends were in it too.

Mamma Mia....

Here is a little part of one of our dances.....(This is for you Rachael)!

School Play

Kennedi had her first school play on Thursday.....Goldilocks And 3 Bears.

She got to stand at the microphone and welcome everyone to the play and then she played the part of a Bee. She had the biggest speaking part and did such a cute job!

Dax found some blocks to play with.....Isn't he cute?

These are the videos of her parts from the play..........they're not the greatest but I put them all on here so Kenna can watch them.

This is a super busy weekend for us. Kennedi and I have our dance recital (yes "our" I do clogging and it's so fun) this weekend. It was Thursday night, Friday night, and again tonight....it's exhausting. So there will be many pictures to come!

Easter Weekend 2010

We had a great Easter weekend. On Friday, Shane and I left the kids for the night (first time leaving Dax) and went to Orem for a date night. We did some shopping, ate at Red Lobster (puke, Shane's choice) and went to a movie. It was so nice for just the two of us to get away for a night.

On Saturday, we took out our fishing boat with Coby and Jessica and did some fishing. Jessica and I caught 5 between the 2 of us and the boys only caught 2. Ha Ha guys!

On Sunday, the Easter Bunny came!! The kids did a little egg hunt and it was so cute to watch Dax find the eggs and take them to his basket.

Later, we went out and rolled the eggs we had colored, then went to Shane's parents house for the grown up cash egg hunt.

Hope you all had a great Easter!

Scprabooking

So I used to be a really good scrapbooker. I alway kept Kennedi's updated and she had about 4 FULL scrapbooks by the time she was three. Well I've become a major slacker!! Poor little Dax has nothing.

I have switched to digital scrapbooking and love it....NO MESS! I've been working like crazy on Daxton's book, trying to get at least his first year done. I've made a little progress (about 72 pages worth of progress) but I'm not done yet. Here are some of the pages I've done for Dax's book.....

Our Little "Monstah"

Dax has become quite the the little monster lately. It seems his #1 goal in life is to get into and DESTROY everything!

He climbs up on everything now.....plants on the counter aren't even safe anymore LOL.

Here he is helping himself to some curly fries that were sitting on the table. I thought it was so cute that he was just sitting in the chair stuffing them in his mouth as fast as he could.

He Love, Love, Loves to play in dirt and even eat a little when he feels like it.

And he REFUSES to sleep in the car. We came home from Moab late last night and he never even closed his eyes. I had to hold his hand the whole time and if Kennedi or Shane even touched his car seat he would freak out. Thank goodness for Baby Einsteins!!

He's our little "Monstah" and we love him!

Skiing

Yesterday, Shane, Kennedi, and I went to Brianhead and did some skiing. It was so much fun! We put Kennedi in ski school the first part of the day, which she totally loved, and that gave me and Shane time to ski together.

We had been hitting this fun jump all day, and the one time I videoed Shane hitting it, he ate it hard....it was pretty funny.

When Kennedi was done with ski school, we picked her up and took her on a few runs with us. I was surprised at how good she did. I was so proud of her, I'm so glad she is daring and willing to try anything we throw at her.

This video isn't the best, but I wanted to put it on here just to have of her first skiing experience.

Happy Valentines Day!

We had a fun Valentines day. The kids and I made this little card to go along with what we got Shane. (Thanks for the idea Lindsey)

We always leave the kids' treat out on the door step and ring the doorbell and run.
Kennedi got a bulldog and Dax got the red devil. Ever since we moved to Gunnison, Kennedi has been a little obsessed with Bulldogs and Red Devils. (Gunnison is the Bulldogs and Moab is the Red Devils.) Shane has it in her head already that she is a Bulldog and they are the best!! Last Friday when our neighbor Cody picked up Kennedi for school, Payton asked her where her Valentines Day Box was. Instead of telling him she didn't need to make one she said "my mom is a Red Devil so she doesn't know how to make them". She is so funny!
When She saw what we got them, she rolled her eyes and said "I'm glad I didn't get that red devil".
