Surgery Bound.....

Kennedi had a check-up at Primary Children's Hospital yesterday. Two years ago, she was diagnosed with Vesicoureteral Reflux (reflux of the bladder). We went in yesterday and did a voiding cystourethrogram (VCUG) and an ultrasound on her kidneys. They were hoping to find that it had improved since the tests 2 years ago, but we found out it has gotten worse and it's doing damage to her kidneys. Every time she has a bladder infection, it scars her kidneys, which means it eats a little away from the outer edge. They told us she needs to have Ureteral Reimplant Surgery to fix her problem. They will go in just below the bikini line and change the way her abnormal ureters connect with her bladder. It's about a 2-3 hour surgery, and she'll have to spend 2 nights in the hospital.
When I told her what was gonna happen, I expected her to be scared or a little nervous, but I should have known.....she is thrilled!! She is so excited to get to be in the hospital for 2 days and get visitors, LOL, she is so funny! Nothing phases this girl, thank goodness.
She is scheduled to have her surgery on February 10th.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAX!!!

Our Little Monsta turned 2 years old today! I can't believe he his getting so big.

On Saturday, we had a little family birthday party for him......

He crawled under the table when we starting to sing to him, it was so funny!

He wouldn't blow out his candles....he made Kenna do it for him.

He sure did love that frosting though!

He got lots of fun presents and was so excited!

Today, on his actual birthday, we went to Ephraim and took him bowling and had dinner.......

It was so funny to watch him bowl....he would pick up his ball and then just throw it anywhere he was standing.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAX....................WE LOVE YOU!!!!

We are having.........

2 BOYS!!!!!!

We are really happy and excited. At first I was really sad. The one thing I've said since we found out I was having twins is I want anything but 2 BOYS!
When we went in today for the ultrasound, I told our tech that she better not tell me I'm having 2 boys. She said it might be too early to tell anyways, but we'd look.
As she was measuring everything on Baby A, before she even started to look for gender, we saw "IT"...plain as day! I started to panic a little but thought we had one more baby to go, so I still had hope.

When she got to Baby B, pretty much the same thing happened. She started measuring everything and when she got to the Femur I saw "IT" again. When I saw it, our Tech said, "yeah I saw it a minute ago but didn't want to say anything". She and Shane just gave me a hard time the rest of the ultrasound.

I did hold my tears until we were walking our of the hospital though. Afterwards, we went and got 2 BLUE balloons and took them to our house before we picked up the kids. We had Kennedi walk in the house with her eyes closed. She was so excited until she opened them and immediately started bawling and yelling that she didn't want 2 more brothers, that she wanted a sister...I couldn't help but cry right along with her!
Now that a few hours have passed....and I've heard from EVERYONE, "Oh just think of how good they'll all be together in high school sports"....I'm getting more excited. We'll have 3 little boys under the age of 2 and when they get a little older hopefully they will all be the best of friends!

Christmas 2010

______________________________________
We had a very Merry Christmas! We spent it in Moab, where it was a nice 50 degrees the whole weekend. Santa was very good to all of us this year. Kennedi got the Diamond Back Mountain Bike she wanted and Dax got a little 4-wheeler.

At first he didn't seem to really care about it, but Kennedi showed him how it worked and then he loved it!

And of course, he thought it was so funny to run people over on it......

We introduced Dax to Toy Story and now he LOVES it. I got him these cheap little boots to wear on Halloween so he could be a cowboy, but he REFUSED to wear them until now because they have BUZZ and WOODY on them. Now he won't take them off....even has to sleep in them!

While we were in Moab, Kenna and Dax were chasing each other around my parents' kitchen and Kenna slipped on something and fell down and ripped her chin open. I took her right down to the hospital to get stitches....

She was really nervous....she wanted them to just glue it closed but the doctor said it was too deep and that she really needed stitches.

She was really good through the whole procedure and ended up getting 11 stitches that she is very proud of!

Busy in December!

Well it seems like December has been so busy, and I think we are pretty much ready for Christmas. All the shopping is DONE, my mom and I made lots of candy (that doesn't even taste good this year :( ) my neighbor gifts are delivered, and the presents are ALMOST all wrapped. I had my 12 week check up today and the babies seem to be great, and now I just have to get everything prepared for Kenna's school party on Wed. and then we'll be off to Moab for Christmas!
On Saturday while we were making candy, we got a surprise visitor! The kids haven't sat on Santa's lap yet, so he stopped by. Kennedi is a stinker and new who it was the minute he spoke (one of Shane's buddies). Luckily we've always told her that she'll never meet the real Santa, only Santa's helpers.
Dax wasn't impressed! He wanted nothing to do with him!

Kennedi has danced 3 times this month for the halftime show at the high school basketball games. It just amazes me every time I see her dance. She just keeps getting better and better! I love to watch her!
Here is some ballroom pics with her buddy Payton.....

Here is here Jazz dance....

They danced to "All I want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth", notice her two front teeth are colored black.

Look how fast they grow!

I had ultrasound #3 today, and I am 10 weeks 1 day preggers with these little ones. I've had an ultrasound every two weeks and it's amazing to see the growth in the babies. Today it was hard to get them both in the same picture.

Here is baby A's profile. For my early predictions, I would guess this is a girl. This one is always so easy to see, seems to love the camera, kinda reminds me of Kenna!!!

Baby A head on......
Now baby B I'm predicting BOY!! This one is kinda hidden in there and is a little wiggle worm. It took us about five minutes to get it's heartbeat because it wouldn't hold still......kinda reminded me of our little CRAZY Dax!

Now I'm totally just guessing for fun, I'll be happy with whatever they are (maybe not so happy if they are both boys). Ha Ha

I'm OLD!

Yesterday I turned 30 years old! It's hard for me to believe that I'm that old.

I think I'm ok with it though. I'm almost exactly were I always pictured myself being at this age. I've been married for almost 10 years, and we've made a good life for ourselves and our kids. I always said I wanted four kids by the time I'm 30, and surprisingly enough that has worked out too. I'm so happy and so blessed, I have nothing to be sad about!

We did a little party over the weekend at my parent's house. I didn't feel very good as usual so I look super hot in all the pictures.....

A Little Peek......

I had an ultrasound this morning and we got to see our 2 little miracles!! It's always so exciting to get a peek and see what's going on in there and what is making me SO SICK!!!

We were so thrilled to see they are growing and developing right on the money. Below is baby B's heartbeat......

So here is the story on these little ones:

As soon as Daxton turned 1, I started to get that anxiety back, that baby making anxiety. I knew the time was coming when we were going to have to start going through the IVF process all over again and it's very stressful and very expensive. We Still had 10 frozen embryos leftover from Daxton's batch in AZ. In May, we made the long trip down and did a FET (frozen embryo transfer). They unthawed 5 embryos. One died and the other four were in poor quality but we went ahead with the transfer. Two weeks later we weren't really surprised when we got a NEGATIVE.

We then waited a couple of months and went back down in July for another FET. They unthawed the remaining five embryos and again one died. The embryos were a little better in quality then the ones in May, but still not great. Again, two weeks later we got a NEGATIVE.

At that point I started looking for a new doctor in Utah and with some help from a few friends I finally picked one in Provo. We started a low stimulation IVF cycle right away ( I tend to produce a lot of eggs). I did 10 days of injections and produced 14 eggs. From those, 10 turned into embryos and three days later I went in for the transfer. We had 1 A 8 celled, 1 B 8 celled, 1 B 10 celled, and the rest were all C embryos.

My doctor planned on just transferring the A 8 celled and B 8 celled but I talked him into putting in the B 10 celled as well. The other 7 embryos weren't worth freezing because they never made it to 8 cells.

Ten days after the transfer I was totally bummed because I was just sure that it hadn't worked AGAIN! I had ZERO symptoms!! Shane was starting to get mad at me for being so negative. So that night I took a pregnancy test to prove to him that I knew my body and I wasn't pregnant. I think as soon as a peed on it it said PREGNANT. I was completely shocked!

Two days later I went in for my blood work and when they called me with the results they said: "congratulations, you are pregnant and it's definitely multiples. Come in in a week so we can see if it is twins or triplets".
We were so excited and a little nervous. We were definitely hoping for twins, triplets is just scary!
When I went in for the ultrasound, my doctor started to look for the sacs and almost immediately said "There's 2!"

We were so relieved and so so excited!

Our little ones are due on their daddy's birthday 6.30.11!!
