Master Bedroom Redo...

So....I usually get pretty bored with my house after I put all my Christmas decor away, so you can imagine how much my hubby LOVES it when January comes around!!  Last year I redid most of my upstairs, and this year I redid my bedroom and "spruced up" my boys' bedrooms (pics to come).

Here are the Before and Afters of my bedroom....

Christmas Home Decor

Have I mentioned this is my FAVORITE time of the year!?!?

I love to decorate my house, and here is a little glimpse of what it looks like at Christmas time.....

Outside.......

I saw this snowman wreath on Pinterest and fell in love with it!!  I just bought three wreaths from Hobby Lobby, wired them together, added lights, and then added the gloves, hat, and scarf.

Downstairs I put up a fake tree and do all red and white candy themed decor......
I was having a hard time finding cute decor to buy, so I made my own!!  It was so easy!!  I just bought Styrofoam cones,  and using spray adhesive  (don't us modge podge) I put glitter on 2 of them.  I used electrical tape to get the candy cane effect on the one.  On the other one, I just hot glued peppermints on it, then I hot glued them to white spray painted candle sticks.
For the red candle, I hot glued the candy canes right onto the candle and added ribbon around it.....so simple!!
Upstairs, we do a REAL tree!  It took me about 6 hours to put light and decor on this baby.  You can't tell, but, this is our Hallmark Tree.  We have tons of cute Hallmark ornaments on it and add to it every year!

Homeade Wipes

I thought I would post this recipe since so many of my friends have just had or are getting ready to have their babies (Congrats to Jav & Tara, who had their baby boy today!). They are great for newborns-no so great after they are around 6 or 7 months.

1st: Get a roll of paper towels and cut in half. I use Brawny Big Roll.
2nd: Put one half in some kind of tupperware bowl with a lid, and save the other half for later.
3rd: Mix 1 tbsp baby wash, 1 tbsp baby oil, and 1 cup hot water.

4th: Pour mixture over the paper towels and let it soak in for about 10 min.
5th: Take out the middle part of the paper towels.
And.......Wallah!!
So I buy a thing of 6 rolls of paper towels, 70 sheets/roll, and I can make 840 wipes for under $6.
To answer some of the questions that have been left.......
I don't usually let my 5 year old cut these, it was only for the picture, LOL.
And, I don't like to use these wipes after they are about 7 months because their poop gets yuckier the older they get, and these wipes are not as thick as store bought ones??? I don't know....I stopped using them with Kennedi about that time, maybe I just got sick of making them. I can't really remember the reason. LOL.
