Relief Society Birthday Dinner

Last night was our Relief Society Birthday Dinner.

I was asked to be in charge of  decorations and handle the dessert.

Our theme was "Turn Back The Clock"

I made these invitations on photoshop:
I had so much fun with the decorations.....and luckily, lots of people have vintage looking clocks that they let me barrow.
Here is a look at what I came up with......

We decided to do ice cream sundaes, and it was so simple and such a big hit!

Little Man Mustache Bash Baby Shower

I have a little nephew on the way, and yesterday I threw my sister-in-law, Heather, a
MUSTACHE BASH
baby shower!!!

Here are the invites that I made on photoshop.....

Dessert Table!!

The dessert table had all kinds of goodies like Red Velvet Cake Pops, Peanut Buttercup Cookies, Cupcakes, Onesie Sugar Cookies, Chocolate Covered Pretzels, Gumballs, and Sixlets!

The orange drink turned out SOOO yummy, you can find the recipe HERE.  I just used Mason Jars for the drinking glasses and put cute straws in them that I ordered from The TomKat Studio.

Full View...

I made this Diaper cake....it took about 100 diapers, ribbon, tulle, and I made the sign and mustaches on my Silhoutte.

FOOD...
We did 3 Subway Party Platters, 2 Pasta Salads, Chips, and little Fruit Cups.  I got the fruit cups and little Chevron bags for the utensils at The Tomkat Studio.

I set up a little photo booth and had fun props for the girls to use, and gave them a Hashtag to use for sharing their pics on Instagram.  Then everyone got a Pacifier Necklace, for the "Don't Say BABY" game, and they chose a Mini Diaper and pinned it to themselves, and at the end of the shower, whoever had the "DIRTY DIAPER"  won.

Photo Booth Shot!!!  Mikenzee, Me, my Mom, Kennedi, & Heather

Games prizes......I got the bags at The Tomkat Studio, and we filled them with Bath and Body Work soaps and lotions.

I made EVERY tag/label/sign/banner you've seen on my Silhoutte Portrait. {BEST INVENTION EVER!!!}

Thanks Yous........I got the mustache molds from Hobby Lobby and the wrapping paper on Etsy.

And here is the Lady & {BABY} of Honor!!!!

Spiderman Birthday Party

Dax wanted a
Spiderman Birthday Party
(current obsession), and he was so exited to have a "friend party"!!

I made these invitations on photoshop......

I didn't go all out for this party, because well, they're 3-4 years old, but Dax kept saying "Wow, this is AMAZING!" , so if he was happy, I was happy!
How lucky is this little boy?!?  These are all of his best friends and they all live on this street!!

We played a few games.......of course there was PIN THE SPIDERMAN ON THE WEB, Brody had to play too!!
And then they got to "practice" their WEBSLINGING skills.  This game was a blast for them......they had to try to  hit the Green Goblin with a can of Silly String, which for these little guys, wasn't as easy as it sounds.  I think Shane got the worst of it!!

Kenna was a big helper, keeping track of everything on her Ipad (of what, I'm not sure), and Brody thought he was just one of the big kids (Bronse slept through all the fun).

Happy New Year!!!

Shane and I decided it was probably our turn to host a big NEW YEARS bash.

We had 6 couples over and had a blast eating, chatting, playing games, and laughing!!!

At the last minute {literally}, I decided I should probably decorate for the shin dig.

I headed down to the local Family Dollar, and lucky me, all their Christmas decor was 50% off, SCORE!!  I grabbed some gold and silver bulb, a gold christmas tree, gold and silver tinsel, and a gold table runner.....and that only came to $11!!

Then, I picked up some balloons from the pharmacy, and was good to go!

I made red velvet cake pops, which are always a hit, and then some YUMMY Tortellini Skewers, you can find the recipe HERE.  I made all the tags on photoshop.

I hope everyone has a great 2013!!!

Mom, Kenzee, Heather (& baby), and Me
Here we are at the rest of movies.....we were all laughing as we looked back on the pictures and  saw how much we've changed, especially Kenzee (me, not so much....I'm boring that way)!!

Young Women in Excellence!

We had our Young Women and Excellence last night and it turned out perfect!  Our Theme was Taste the Rainbow.....so of course everything had a rainbow theme.
I made all the labels, programs, and subway art on photoshop.....
The balloons started out as a cute rainbow, but some fell or popped and some needed to be moved to fit the food.
Our girls are all so talented!  Here are the tables where they displayed all of their hobbies and accomplishments.
Yep....our Young Women group is very small in numbers, bu they are amazing girls!!

Happy 4th of July / Happy Pioneer Day!!

We had so much fun on the 4th of July!!  My parents came to our house and spent the night with our kids so that Shane and I could go to Delta and play in an all-night 4-on-4 outdoor volleyball tournament with Coby and Jessica.  We had SO MUCH FUN, we made it all the way to the championship game, but then LOST :( !!The next morning we took the kids to the parade and all the park craziness, and they had so much fun!! (Is is bad that i dread the whole park thing every year??)
On the 24th of July, we had Shane's whole family over for a BBQ........
and then hit the Demolition Derby in Fairview that evening.  It's very interesting the crowd that  a Derby bring out....people watching is more then half the fun!!
