Jaundice Shmaundice!!

We have been having so much fun with Daxton. He is such a sweet baby!! I forgot how special it is to have a new baby in the house........and seriously, could he be any cuter?

Daxton is still a little jaundice (that is why he is naked in most of these pictures). I had to stop nursing for a couple of days and put him on formula, and that helped his levels come down from 16.7 to 10.1. After I switched back to nursing again, we had to keep him in the "tanning bed" for 2 more days to make sure they stayed down. We had him checked yesterday, and they went to 10.7. Ugh, so now we have to keep him in throughout the weekend. Hopefully on Monday they will get down below ten so we don't have to do this anymore. I can't wait to be able to hold him without feeling guilty that he is not in his bed.

Don't worry, our house is very warm right now...he is not cold :-)

Oh my gosh, I HEAR YA! It's funny though, Coop's bilie test got up to 16.3 this week, and they still wouldn't give me the lamps. Finally, after daily trips to the hospital to get tested, he dropped to 13.7 and the dr said we didnt' have to test anymore. WHich is good, but it still seems high to me (since he left the hospital at a 7). But we did our own lamps, and opened every blind in the house so that he could tan! And I've been trying to feed him like crazy every 2 hours to get the stupid jaundice out of his system!

Oh, I forgot to say how cute he is, and wondered if you could pass over some of that hair! So much! I'm jealous! :)

He is so cute! It seems like he grows more hair every time you post a picture. I can't believe you still are dealing with jaundice. That seems like a long time. Hopefully it's over soon. Poor little guy.

He is soo cute!! Congrats, So Sorry about the jaundice I did this with all of mine! yuck but don't you think its strange that the formula helps more than breastmilk. I thought that was the craziest thing when they made me give the girls formula??

oh he is super cute!! i feel for you on the jaundice thing, Gracie was 2 months before her eyes were white instead of yellow. we weren't under the lights as long as we probably should have been with her though so it probably would have helped us a little to use them more. hopefully you can be done with it all soon! he seriously is so so cute, i love the picture of him with big sis!!
