Christmas Home Decor

Have I mentioned this is my FAVORITE time of the year!?!?

I love to decorate my house, and here is a little glimpse of what it looks like at Christmas time.....

Outside.......

I saw this snowman wreath on Pinterest and fell in love with it!!  I just bought three wreaths from Hobby Lobby, wired them together, added lights, and then added the gloves, hat, and scarf.

Downstairs I put up a fake tree and do all red and white candy themed decor......

I was having a hard time finding cute decor to buy, so I made my own!!  It was so easy!!  I just bought Styrofoam cones,  and using spray adhesive  (don't us modge podge) I put glitter on 2 of them.  I used electrical tape to get the candy cane effect on the one.  On the other one, I just hot glued peppermints on it, then I hot glued them to white spray painted candle sticks.
For the red candle, I hot glued the candy canes right onto the candle and added ribbon around it.....so simple!!

Upstairs, we do a REAL tree!  It took me about 6 hours to put light and decor on this baby.  You can't tell, but, this is our Hallmark Tree.  We have tons of cute Hallmark ornaments on it and add to it every year!

Oh Christmas Tree

We love to go on the mountain every year and find a {real}Christmas tree!!

Our ceilings are 12 feet tall, so we look for a monster...........and we found one!!!!

I think this baby was probably 25 ft tall.....and it was gorgeous!!!

There wasn't much snow yet, so the kids found this little pile and made a snowman......can you see it?? LOL

Shane is always a good sport.....he had to cut down many dead trees to get to our tree.....

Putting lights on this monster took FOREVER!!!  It took a total of 6 hours to decorate!

And of course, I had help.......

And here is the finished product!  the picture just doesn't do it justice, it is GORGEOUS!!

Breaking Dawn Part 2

Breaking Dawn Part 2 is finally here!!!  We went to Moab again, where my mom and some of her friends rent the Theater, and like always, had a blast!  I made these tickets for the movie....and we had a little pre-show party and I made some YUMMY red velvet cake pops that were to die for!!

Here we are at the rest of movies.....we were all laughing as we looked back on the pictures and  saw how much we've changed, especially Kenzee (me, not so much....I'm boring that way)!!

Young Women in Excellence!

We had our Young Women and Excellence last night and it turned out perfect!  Our Theme was Taste the Rainbow.....so of course everything had a rainbow theme.

I made all the labels, programs, and subway art on photoshop.....

The balloons started out as a cute rainbow, but some fell or popped and some needed to be moved to fit the food.

Our girls are all so talented!  Here are the tables where they displayed all of their hobbies and accomplishments.

Yep....our Young Women group is very small in numbers, bu they are amazing girls!!

Volleyball Star in the Making.......

This was Kennedi's first year of playing volleyball, and I have to say, she is a natural!!

I coached her team and had so much fun with these girls, she has very athletic girls her age.

They had a great season!!!  They were undefeated and took 1st Place!!!

Halloween 2011

We went out to Delt to Coby and Jessica's house to carve pumpkins this year, and had a great time!

My mom was here and helped me get them ready for the Halloween carnival at the elementary school.

Sometimes it hits me how old this little girl is getting and it makes me so sad!!  She was about 18 months  on this Halloween.....she was so cute it makes my heart hurt!

New wreath

I finally made a new wreath for my front door!! I found both of these on pinterest, and they were both so easy and cheap to make! I need to start on my Halloween one now.....

Daxton's first day of preschool 2012!!

Dax becomes a little awkward when the camera comes out, he starts making all kids of weird faces and won't look directly at the camera, he gets so embarrassed!  It remind me of the Friends episode where Monica and Chandler are trying to get their engagement pictures done, and every time the camera comes out, Chandler can't smile right and looks ridiculous!!   

I feel like my little boy is getting so big!!  He just started preschool again was so excited!!  Last year his teacher said he didn't talk to her or the other kids very much, so I've been telling him for about a week that he has to talk to his teacher!!  When he got off the bus, I asked him how school was and he said "I talked to my teacher!!".  He is so funny!  

I love watching him get on and off the bus....he just seems so small but so big at the same time!

First day of third grade.....

Kennedi is now in the third grade!!! It's hard to believe that she is getting so big!

She had a blast! She loves all things third grade, especially her teacher Mrs. Hatch. It's going to be a great year!

Vegas Baby!!!

We went to Las Vegas with my parents and Heather and Matthew and we met up with alot of family from my mom's side.

Heather and Kenna had fun tanning at the pool...... 

We went downtown the Mandalay Bay's Shark Reef, and it was pretty dang cool!!  All the kids LOVED it, including Brody.  He had to be held and was so into looking around at everything will Bronse layed in the stroller and didn't make a peep the whole night!! LOL

On Saturday, we went to the temple and did my uncle DeVerns's work, and my cousin Brenda got sealed to her husband David. 

These are my mom's sibling, they were just missing her sister Verleen.  It was so neat that they were all there to do their brother's temple work.

First dentist appointment.....

Daxton survived (or I should say I survived) his first ever dentist appointment!  It was crazy, and I had to hold him down while they did the check and cleaning, plus handle TWO very active 1 year olds in an upstairs building with NO elevator for a DOUBLE stroller....LOL 

He had a clean check-up though, NO cavities!

Kennedi enjoyed her movie in peace, but she did have to get 1 filling and she did great!

DI tables.....

I picked these hideous tables up at the DI in Richfield and gave them a little make-over.  I put the turquoise one down stairs and the maroon one upstairs, I love the way they turned out!!
