Melon Days.....Latest project.....Blah Blah Blah

It's been a while since I've posted, but here is what we've been up to.

Last Friday, we went to Green River for Melon Days so Shane could play in the softball tournament. He played Friday night, and then we went and stayed the night in Moab. On Saturday morning, we headed back over for the parade, fun at the park, and yet more softball. My dad had his car in the parade, and somehow I ended up driving it, and my dad ended up in the old car in front of us with his friend. Shane's team did really good....they killed every team they faced, and took 1st place.

I'll just leave it at that, I won't go into the fact that there wasn't much to do in Green River between games, the championship game was at 4:00 AM, and we had to get back home for church at 9:00 AM.....the things we do for softball.

Ok...so, those of you who know me, know that I like to have projects going. I'm always up for painting, or rearranging, or building something. We moved into our house in July, and I was so sick that I really didn't care what stuff looked like. Well, I feel better now, and the wall paper and drapes were starting to get to me. I asked the owners of the house if I could make some improvements, and they gave me the go ahead. So I removed the wall paper, took the drapes down, painted, and replaced the light fixture. Here are the before and after pics.

BEFORE

AFTER - (the walls are tan if you can't tell)

Next project will be the wall paper in the Kitchen.

MUCH BETTER! Why do people wallpaper and hang heavy drapes??? You did a great job. Isn't it amazing what a can or two of paint can do!!! Such a cheap and easy way to make a room look so different!

Did you guys buy that house? I have been in it a few times when Laci and Chad lived there, and there's a TON of wallpaper in that kitchen...don't work too hard! You have to take it easy! But I know how you feel about projects. I especially feel that way lately...I think it's the "nesting stage" of pregnancy. :)

Wowzers, looks good. That's a lot of ambition for a rental! I don't know how you managed to get so much done, I barely have enough energy to shower daily. I like the color...we're planning on doing something like that over the bruised plum and spicy mustard colors that our house is currently rocking.

Looks great! You're so motivated! Now...what's up with having a softball game so stinkin early in the morning? You guys are good to have gone straight onto church! I'm throwing a baby shower for Lindsay on Friday...wish you were here so I could throw you one too!

Wow the house looks great. I am sure they were more than happy to let you change things up. I am glad to hear that the pregnancy is going well, you look great. Maybe I will run into you at church! Seems like we are always gone.

Of course you would take on big projects like this while your sick and pregnant! Great Job~ Can't wait to see you and your little pooch!

Thanks, I like the new blog too, a bit lighter than the last one, yah?

Lol I love Miley Cyrus mania, not necessarily her, but the avid worship of her.

Ew @ before drapery.
