Happy 1st Birthday Dax!!!

My little Dax is 1 today. I can't even believe how fast this year has went by.







On Saturday, my family and Shane's family all came over for his party. It was so fun.....he has brought so much joy into our lives.

Here are few fun facts about Daxton:

He is the BEST sleeper! He has slept through the night since he was 9 months old, and he has never slept with us.

He started walking just before he turned 11 months.

He loves to tease his sister....amazing how young they are when that starts. Anything she has, he has to have NOW! and he doesn't like it if she sits on my lap.

He nursed until he was 10 month, and then basically weaned himself. This boy loves, loves, loves food.

His hair grows super fast, I have to cut it about every 2-3 weeks.

He only took a binky for about 4 months, and then I tried to force it on him for another month but wouldn't have anything to do with it.

He is on a schedule with sleep and eating and DOES NOT like that to be messed with.

He gets so excited when his dad gets home and screams at him until he comes and picks him up.

He still loves to cuddle when I rock him.

Lovin the Snow!!

It seems like there has been more snow than usual this year. It was fun for a couple of days.....but I'm ready for it to be gone!!

Over Christmas, while we were at my parent's house, it snowed a ton and my dad made this cute Winnie The Pooh snowman.....

Shake It!

I Love My Kids!! They are both so fun!

Kennedi has been sick with the flu and hasn't went to school the past couple days, and today she was feeling a little better and wanted to dance. This girl LOVES to shake her booty. She will turn on our sirius radio on the TV and dance in front of the fireplace (so she can see her reflection) for like an hour at a time....and the girl has some good moves!

And then little Daxton is just so stinkin cute.....he is so small and runs all over the place, it's so funny! Whenever he hears music, whether in the car or at home, he automatically starts dancing too, right along with his sister.

Christmas 2009

We had such a good Christmas! I haven't posted for a long time, so this is going to be a long one.

Here are Kennedi and Dax at our ward Christmas party....Dax wasn't feelin the love for Santa (or Grandpa Knudsen, SHHHH).














We did a family Christmas party at Shane's families house the weekend before Christmas.....

Then we went to Moab for Christmas...and SANTA came!

Busy, Busy

Kennedi has been super busy lately. On top of dance classes three times a week, she has been performing at basketball games, and on Thursday she had her school Christmas Program.

She and Payton performed their ballroom dance on Friday at the basketball game, and I have to say it was the cutest thing! Payton is our neighbor and they are best friends. He is a year older then her, but she is just a little bit taller then him.

The batteries died in my camera before they got to the lift, I was so mad.

Latest Happenings

Kennedi performed her jazz dance at the girls basketball game......


Then she split her chin open on recess. She needed stitches, but luckily they were able to glue it shut instead.

Thanksgiving Weekend

This year we spent Thanksgiving with Shane's family in Escalante and had so much fun! His brother and sisters and cousins are all around our age so we played lots of games and laughed really hard!

Daxton loved ALL the food, we couldn't shovel it in fast enough. Unlike his sister, who only nibbled on that roll.

Daxton and Krayton took time away from the stairs to play in the dishwasher....they are so cute together.

Bofore coming home on Friday, we stopped at the Shakespear's new cabin that is almost done being built. It was a little chilly in there until the fire got going....


We got home Friday night, and put up our Christmas decorations all day on Saturday. I look forward to doing this all year.....love it, Kennedi is always a great help, and this year Dax and the kitties were part of the fun.

Saturday night, Shane and I went out with Coby and Jessica to celebrate mine and Jessica's birthdays. We went to dinner in Manti, and then to the movie in Ephraim....NEW MOON of course, it's even better the second time ( I think Shane secretly loved it too, he just won't admit it).


Then on Sunday, I turned the big 29....I'm not thrilled about almost being out of my 20s, but what can you do? I got to speak in church for the 2nd week in a row.....YES, IN A ROW!!!! Last week our family spoke, and this week the Young Women's Presidency had to speak. Just glad they're over with now!

NEW MOON

Ok, I have to say, IT WAS AMAZING!!! I loved it!

I also have to say I'm now borderline TEAM JACOB!!

So....I went to Moab because my mom and her friends rented the theater. It was so fun! Here are the cute tickets (made by me).....

So BIG!!

Look who's so BIG!!!

Dax just turned 10 months and is standing by himself. He was doing it a ton today, and even took a couple steps. Even though Kennedi was walking before she was 10 months, He just doesn't seem old enough to be walking....he is still so little!

Shane suprised me the other night and had his brother Coby come watch the kids and took me on a date. I think this was our first (alone) date we've been on since Dax was born.

We are limited on things to do in our small town, so we went to the movie in Ephraim. Our choices were "The Box" and the "The Vampire Assistant". Even though I'm a huge fan of vampires....that movie looks horrible so we went to "The Box"

Oh my gosh!!! Blah Blah Blah, so boring. One of the worst movies I've ever seen. The ONLY good thing about it was the Trailer for NEW MOON at the beginning.

Speaking of NEW MOON.....I'm so so excited for the midnight showing. My mom and her friend rented out the theater in Moab again this year, so I'm going down there to go with them. It's going to be so fun. They've done AMAZING door prizes and have went all out to make it a fun night. We all got shirts to wear, mine of course is TEAM EDWARD, Kennedi had to have one too, she wanted the team Jacob one (she likes him because he is Shark Boy).......Can't Wait!

Show and Tell

Kennedi finally got to bring her kitties in for show and tell yesterday. She was so excited! It was fun for me to get to see her at school.

Then....lucky us (not), we went to the grocery store and Santa just happened to be there. I tried to talk Kennedi out of standing in the hour line but she insisted (I know, I'm no fun). Dax was mesmerized by him though....

Today I was busy doing some stuff and I walked into the living room to find Kennedi reading her scriptures...with her fake glasses and all. She is so funny!
