GO FOR THE GOLD!!

This weekend was so so fun!!!

On Thursday night, Dax and I drove to Cedar City and spent the night. On Friday morning we went down to St. George and I picked out all of my granite counter tops (which, by the way, I got a smokin deal on) and then found some couches that loved on clearance!!! So excited!!

After that, we headed back to Cedar because I was playing volleyball in the summer games.

I was a little nervous, because Shane wasn't there yet and I didn't have anyone to watch Dax. But he was such a good boy.....he sat in his stroller and didn't make a peep while I played two games in a row.

Our team did AWESOME!!!! All of us live in Sanpete county, and have never played all together before. We played a total of 10 games (20 matches), and almost went undefeated.

We lost to one team on Saturday morning, so we had to keep playing games back to back to work our way back up to the championship. We then had to beat the team we faced in the championship twice to win the the Gold....and we did!!!! WooHOO!!

Little update

So I have been in a blogging funk lately. As you may have noticed, I haven't been updating mine regularly and haven't been leaving comments on yours.

Things have been busy for us, and are about to get a lot busier.

Our house is coming along great! We get to have a little breather since the roofing and electrical are all done. Shane finished up the outside electrical panel last week, and only had to get 6 stitches on the nice cut he suffered on his hand. LOL.

They put up our arch yesterday, which I'm loving how it turned out, and they are sheet rocking today. That means I'll be painting in about 2 weeks and then we'll start on the tile work and lay the hardwood floor.

I have been an Ebay junky the last few weeks. I'm buying so much for the house online. It is amazing how much money you can save!! I am buying faucets right now and saving a TON!! Love it!!

Dax is getting so big and so BALD!! So sad!! He lost almost all his hair in a 2 weeks period, and I have to say I had a hard time with it LOL. I just didn't expect him to lose it. I could do Kennedi's hair in pig tails at this age.....oh well, it will grow back. He's still as cute as can be!

All about the kids!

I am way behind on posting lately because we have been so busy with our house, so I'm going to do a little catch up on what's been going on with my kids.

First...Kennedi

About 3 weeks ago, she had a dance competition at Lagoon. Sounds fun, right? Well it was the furthest thing from fun!! It not only rained....but it pored!!!

Her dance team did great though. They took overall 1ST place out of 18 teams. YAY Kennedi!

Then....T-Ball started. She loves it, and has decided that she HATES soccer now because you can't use your hands and you don't get any breaks.

On Monday, she graduated from Preschool, or as she calls it "baby school". She is pumped to be going into Kindergarten, and was so good for her kindergarten shots yesterday.

And now for Dax. We love him to pieces!!

He had his 4 month check up yesterday, and weighed in at a whopping 11 lbs 8 oz (finally hit the 1 percentile) and measured at 25.5 in (65 percentile).

I caught him sucking his thumb the other night.

No one can get him giggling like his big sister!

Today he rolled over for the first time and then just kept doing it. I lucked out and got it on tape.

TV Drama

Tonight is the season finale of One Tree Hill, and I saw that Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) and Peyton (Hillary Burton) are leaving the show. What??!!!! I have been sick about this (I know, VERY pathetic). This is one of our (yes, Shane watches it too) favorite shows, and it is pretty much based on Lucas' life. So.....I am so nervous to watch it tonight to see how they take them off. I really really hope they don't kill Peyton....that would just be wrong!!

Also...still a little stunned on how Grey's Anatomy ended. So did George and Izzy both die, or are they coming back???

Then....I'm super excited for AI's finale this week, I'm predicting Adam, although I think it would be great if Kris won.

Wow...What a day!!

Happy Mother's Day!!

Kennedi got me the best Mother's Day present......Pink flower flip flops (size 1/2). She was soooo excited to give them to me, she couldn't wait until today, so she gave them to me yesterday. She told me she got them so we could share them, she is so funny!

Today is also special because it's our

8 Year Wedding Anniversary!!

Wow....that seems so weird that I've been married that long. We've been through a lot together, and I feel so lucky to be married to such a good guy. We still have so much fun together, and have the cutest dang kids!!! :-)

Also kinda weird, 1 year ago today we did our 3rd round of IVF and our little Dax was implanted in me. This is what he looked like. He was a 3 day old embryo....kinda cool!!

And this is him now, 4 months old....what a miracle he is!!! We just love him so much!!




Our house is coming along great! First of all, I just have to say that we have the BEST family!! My mom and dad came over on Friday along with my brother Matthew and his girlfriend Heather, and my aunt and uncle. They all stayed the weekend and roofed our house, and Matthew started wiring it. We also had a lot of help from Shane's dad and brother, and some friends.

They got the roof over half way done, so my dad is staying the week to help Shane work on it, and Matthew will be back next weekend to finish up the electrical.

***House Update***

Our house is making progress!!! It is so fun to drive up and look at it every night and see what they did to it that day. I'm still making changes everyday it seems like......I hope I don't regret anything. Right now I must decide on the shingle color, which is much harder then I thought it would be.

Fun Stuff

It seems like we have so much going on every weekend!!

This weekend, we started out with Kennedi's soccer game on Saturday morning.

She is quite the little athlete!!!

And for those of you who knew me growing up.....you know she has to be #3. ( My brothers and I were always #3 for sports)

Then later that night, it was her Dance Recital.

She was SO EXCITED!! She absolutely loves to dance on the stage in front of people.

She did such a good job. Afterwards, we gave her flowers and she thought she won the competition, LOL.

Here is her Ballet/Jazz dance. She also did a clogging dance, but I already posted that dance a few weeks ago.

After the recital, we went out to eat with both our parents to El Mexicano (the only place to eat in Salina).

And I can't forget about Dax.........

He is a little over 3 months old now.....and has brought so much love and joy into our home!!! He is just such a cutie.

He has discovered his hands and loves to suck on either them, or he grabs his shirt or bib and sucks on those.

He is also finally starting to gain a little weight, last week he weighed 9 lbs 13 oz. YAY!

Easter Weekend

We spent Easter weekend in Moab. All of my family was home, so we had lots of fun!! We went out on a picnic, colored eggs, rolled them down a hill, did an egg hunt, and played Scum.

I thought this pic was so cute, Dax was entertaining the room.

On Saturday, we went out in the desert for our picnic and after we were there for a couple of hours, it started hailing really hard, so my mom, the kids, and I sat in the car while everyone else got wet.

Well this week we made alot of progress on our house......

Tuesday: I'm actually really excited about this, we did coil heating in the cement so we'll have warm floors :-)
